Bringing a pet to the cottages.

Guests must tell DCG before arrival that they are travelling with a pet. Unless another arrangement is agreed in writing in advance, an approved pet stay requires a refundable pet security deposit of 50 GEL. DCG may agree in advance to a different pet deposit or to no deposit. The deposit is security against pet-related damage, loss or additional cleaning. It is not a pet fee. If the guest chooses an accepted non-GEL payment currency and the selected payment method supports it, the exact equivalent amount and currency to be charged must be shown before payment.

Allowing a pet to stay does not transfer responsibility for the animal to DCG. The booking guest and/or pet owner is responsible for: supervision. behaviour. cleanliness. keeping the pet under reasonable control. removing pet waste promptly. preventing disturbance to other guests. preventing damage. Pets must be kept off beds, bedding and indoor furniture.

The booking guest and/or pet owner is financially responsible for all damage, loss and additional cleaning reasonably attributable to the pet. This may include scratches or chewing damage, damage to doors/floors/walls/wooden surfaces/furniture, damaged mattresses/bedding/textiles, contamination, stains, persistent odours, specialist cleaning, pest treatment, landscaping/deck damage and reasonable repair or replacement costs. Pet-related charges may be deducted from a pet security deposit. Liability is not limited to the deposit. If reasonable actual costs exceed the deposit, the remaining amount is payable by the guest. Where reasonably available, DCG will provide photographs, invoices, receipts, estimates or other supporting evidence.

DCG may reasonably require a pet to be removed from the property if it creates a serious safety risk, repeatedly causes substantial disturbance or causes significant property damage.
