Plan a calm coast-and-nature stay with clear information on entry, payment backups, roads and language. Russian may help with some hosts and services, but it is not guaranteed everywhere and it should not replace saved addresses or official information.

Choose the arrival around the whole route

Air arrival through Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi creates very different onward journeys. Compare the live flight, baggage, train or transfer and final arrival time at Ureki.

A land journey through Upper Lars is long and weather-sensitive. Check the Roads Department status and do not build a same-day non-refundable plan after the crossing.

Language and payment backups

Ask the property which languages are available for your dates. Save the Georgian address and map pin even when a Russian-speaking driver is arranged.

Card compatibility—especially for cards issued in Russia—can change by issuer, network and merchant. Confirm with the issuing bank and property; do not rely on an article or a screenshot. Carry funds only through lawful channels and keep a second accepted method.
