Nobody expects a visitor to master Georgian grammar. A clear hello, thank you and apology change the temperature of an interaction. Save the Georgian script as well as the transliteration so you can show the phrase when pronunciation fails.

How to use the words without performing
Say the greeting first, then switch to the language you share. Keep the phrase on screen when asking for a station, pharmacy or address. Pointing at a full Georgian place name is usually clearer than repeating a difficult sound louder.
At a restaurant, politeness matters more than perfect pronunciation. Ask questions, accept correction with a smile and use madloba when the answer arrives.
- Gamarjoba + a smile is enough to begin.
- Ra ghirs? is useful before accepting an informal price.
- Sad aris aptiaki? asks where the pharmacy is.
- Save the cottage address and coordinates in Georgian and Latin script.
When the phrase is urgent
Call 112 for police, fire or ambulance. The official 112 service lists support in several languages, including English and Russian; explain what happened, where you are and your name.
Share a map pin or visible landmark. Keep the host's WhatsApp for non-emergency local help, but do not wait for a property reply when urgent services are needed.
